NIU alum and hands-on hotelier. Pramit founded eo5 to carry the openness and generosity of his East 05 apartment days into how a considered hotel actually feels to a guest.
That instinct built a portfolio rooted entirely in DeKalb. As the official hotel partner of NIU Athletics, Pramit has tied his business to the university that shaped him.
His stake in DeKalb runs deeper than his hotels. He is completing a two-year term as President of the DeKalb County Economic Development Corporation at the end of 2026, where he serves on the executive committee, and he sits on the NIU President's Advisory Council, roles that place him at the intersection of the university, local government, and the business community.
He is also a champion of the Huskie Business Pack, an NIU initiative that connects alumni-led businesses, supports student success, and helps keep graduates, talent, and investment in DeKalb County.
For Pramit, it all points the same direction: when NIU, the city, and its businesses reinforce one another, DeKalb compounds.
